XenData Device Driver Installation
Installation Prerequisites
Ensure that the tape hardware is connected to the server. For SAS connections you must have point to point connections, for Fibre channel you can connect via a switch, however our recommendation is also point to point. The tape hardware must be powered on and in a ready state.
Library Drivers
Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2 and Server 2016 use digitally signed drivers, so the XenData library driver will be automatically used when the hardware is attached.
Configuration
If you are running XenData 6.XX, please contact the XenData support team using the details listed at the top of this page. As they will need to assist you in configuring the library to work with these versions of XenData.
If you are running XenData 7.XX, you will not need to contact the XenData support team.
