X25-S Overview

The X25-S Appliance is a 1 RU rack-mounted unit that manages an LTO library with up to four SAS LTO drives.

Add a Web Interface to Preview Media

Adding XenData Media Portal software to an X25-S allows the user to browse the file system and see previews of video and image files within the selected folder. This complements the standard SMB file system interface.

Remote and/or on-premises users can access files using their browser on their Mac or PC. Previews are available for all archived files including those on LTO within the library and on externalized cartridges. And authorized users can download any selected file that is stored on LTO within the library.

Backup to Cloud Storage

Adding a Cloud File Gateway Extension to your LTO archive system provides you with two archive destinations: local LTO and public cloud. You can easily configure a backup policy to sync your on-premises LTO to the cloud. Supported cloud object storage includes AWS S3, Azure, Seagate Lyve and Wasabi. For more cost-effective backup, the AWS Deep Glacier tier and Azure Archive Tier may be used.
